Chennai Superkings vs Pune Warriors India Preview: Chennai Super Kings take on Pune Warriors in a crucial encounter

The defending champions Chennai Superkings will look to get back to their winning ways with today's game when they take on Pune. Chennai suffered 3 losses this season. But they are known to be slow starters and could very well reach the to the top of the points table. But the Pune team couldn't be taken lightly as well with Jessy Ryder and Robin Uthappa at their attacking best. The skipper MS Dhoni is doubtful for the match owing to fitness and Albie Morkel will be unavailable as well. This could be a set back for the superkings.

Chennai has a good batting line up but Murali Vijay is struggling to get runs. The team till now could did not have a reliable opening pair. On the other hand Pune experimented with Ryder and Uthappa and it paid off. However the concern must be the captain's poor run till now. Obviously this is the occasion for Sourov Ganguly to score big. The teams look even balanced with players like Raina for Chennai and Steve Smith for Pune. The concern for Pune would be Dinda's availability as he is the pick of the bowlers for Pune. Ashish Nehra must be lying low of confidence when he had give 24 runs in the last over which turned the fate of the Pune in the last game.

Both the teams have ups and downs but Dhoni's absence in today's game would be a huge blow to the Chennai team. Pune would definitely like to capitalize on that. Pune would like to maintain their good form by winning this game. It also needs to be seen how the Pune batsmen would defend teh off spinner Ashwin who had changed the tide of the game in many occasions. Nevertheless the Chepauk venue is going to provide a cracker of the match.

Prediction: Absence of Dhoni and Morkel gives Warriors the edge.
