Chasing a decent target of 158, Daredevils too had their share of hiccups as well. Excepting Kevin Peterson, none of the top order batsmen gave enough support to him. Peterson too had his share of luck as he was dropped on a few occasions. But credit could not be taken from his mammoth innings of unbeaten 103 which consisted of 6 fours and 9 sixes. This is KP's first century in T20 and is definitely a fighting knock If the chargers fielding was more sharp, the result would have been different. The chargers came so near to the win, but disappointment again this time. The popular phrase “Catches win matches is very much relevant to the Deccan chargers in today's match”.
Deccan Chargers vs Delhi Dare Devils Highlights: Peterson's ton guides Delhi to an emphatic 5 wicket win
Kevin Peterson spoiled the Deccan
chargers hope of securing their first win by scoring a brilliant century. Deccan Chargers won the toss and chose to bat first. The
decision turned to be a good one with Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv
Patel contributing 80 plus runs for the 2nd wicket.
However the chargers innings crumbled once both the batsmen got
out and the run rate came down. 85 runs were scored in the first 10
overs. However they managed to put up only 157 at the end of the
innings. The lack of depth in the chargers innings was clearly
visible. However credit needs to be given to the Delhi bowlers and
Nadeem in particular. He just repeated the magic and sent the
dangerous batsmen to the pavilion. He ended up taking 3 wickets for
just 16 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

Turning point of the match:
Peterson's dropped catches as he piled up ¾ of the side's total. A
one man show indeed!
With this win the Delhi Dare Devils are
sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 8 points. Though
the tournament is not even half way through, the Daredevils seems to
have a strong grip to stay in the top four.
