Kings XI Punjab Won By 6 Wickets Against Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians lost match against Kings XI Punjab in 28th Match held at Mumbai. Kings XI Punjab won by 6 wickets. Mumbai indians won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 163/6 in 20 overs, Good start by openers Sachin Tendulkar and JEC Franklin added 51 in 8.1 overs for their first wicket partnership.
Sachin's return doesn't change the Mumbai Indians fate, JEC Franklin scored 79 runs in 51 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Sachin Tendulkar was runout when he was on 23 runs in 23 balls followed by RG Sharma (2 runs), KD Karthik (w) (35 runs), KA Pollard (7 runs), Harbhajan Singh (c) (4 runs), NLTC Perera not out with (4 runs) and AT Rayadu not out with (3 runs) set a target of 164 runs against Kings XI Punjab.

Punjab openers N Saini and Mandeep Singh scored 48 runs in 6.2 overs before Saini got out. Soon Mandeep Singh also got out out leaving KXIP struggling at 61/2 in 9 overs. Needing another 103 from 11 overs, KXIP again looked upon Shaun Marsh and David Hussey and the duo didn’t let the team down. They added 58 runs before Hussey got out after scoring 21 off 19 balls.
A Mahmood was the next to come in and he scored 10 off 7 balls. The star for KXIP was Shaun Marsh who scored a brilliant 68 off 40 balls and remained unbeaten. Punjab is continuing their winning record against Mumbai. They also bagged their victory in the IPL 2012 and back in to the competition.
